문서 설명 (초록)

초록

This study was carried out to evaluate the effect of rainfall on the variation in the
water quality in Tancheon stream from December 2014 to November 2015. Water
quality and rainfall data were obtained from Tancheon water quality auto-monitoring
station and Korea Meteorological Administration(KMA), respectively. Using the daily
mean concentrations, the average concentrations during the survey period were compared
to those during the survey period excluding rainy days. The average values of
temperature, turbidity, TP and TOC decreased by 1.3%, 18.7%, 11.4% and 5.1%,
respectively, while the average values of pH, conductivity, DO and TN increased by
0.2%, 1.5%, 2.8% and 0.2%, respectively, during the survey period.
According to the Spearman correlation analysis, rainfall was related to most
parameters, except TN and temperature. Correlation coefficients of temperature, pH,
conductivity and DO were within the range of 0.557~0.784. Turbidity was related to all
parameters, except TN. Correlation coefficients of TP and TOC were 0.555 and 0.479,
respectively.
The values of diurnal variation of temperature, pH, conductivity, DO, turbidity, TN,
TP and TOC were 4.1℃, 0.2, 6.7 ㎲/cm, 3.1 mg/L, 8.4 NTU, 1.541 mg/L, 0.142 mg/L
and 0.69 mg/L, respectively. Due to rainfall, the maximum variation in DO, turbidity,
TN, TP and TOC was 8.0 mg/L, 335.2 NTU, 22.04 mg/L, 7.845 mg/L and 49.76 mg/L,
respectively.
